Weekly in-store experiences start at Dawley Farm Village cookware store
Calling all cooks — and bakers, of course. There now are new reasons each week to do a little shopping — and sampling — on the east side.
The newly opened Cooks & Bakers Kitchen at Dawley Farm Village is offering new in-store experiences each week.
“We’ve been hearing from many customers how great it is to have this store on the east side and how many items they’re finding that they’ve not been able to get other places,” owner Joanne Bogus said. “They’re telling us it’s a beautiful store, and now we’re excited to give shoppers even more reasons to visit.”
Each Thursday through Saturday, Cooks & Bakers Kitchen will host gadget demonstrations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“There is a gadget for everything: dicing, slicing, juicing, chopping, stirring, mashing, straining and measuring,” Bogus said. “If you need it, we have it.”
From thermometers to heat you up to cannon ball ice trays to cool you down, even “pickle pinchers” and onion goggles, learn what they’re all about as gadgets are demonstrated in the kitchen.
Bring your sweet tooth to the store each Saturday as it hosts a bake shop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Customers can come in and sample baked good or brunch items,” Bogus said. “We’ve had customers sit here and swap cooking and baking recipes and tips. Plus, we have free coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, espresso every day of the week.”
And that’s not all. Follow Cooks & Bakers Kitchen on its website or social media for the latest on events during the week, including potential tea times or recipe swap socials.
You also can bring your own event to the store.
“We can host everything from intimate private cooking classes to corporate events and even special occasions like bachelorette parties and wedding showers,” Bogus said.
Not sure how to find the store? It’s located just off the roundabout at 5906 E. 18th St. in a new retail center in the center of the Dawley Farm Village development that includes Buff City Soap and Crumbl Cookies.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
