Voyage Federal Credit Union opening soon
Voyage Federal Credit Union is about two months away from opening a branch at Dawley Farm Village. The Sioux Falls credit union is under construction near the Century East movie theater.
“We’re excited to join the Dawley Farms retail, entertainment and residential development,” CEO Darla Erb said. “We are looking forward to serving our members and residents on the east/southeast side of Sioux Falls.”
Voyage is relocating its branch inside Lewis Drug at 26th Street and Sycamore Avenue.
The new Dawley branch will offer what Erb calls “a modern approach to financial services,” with a concierge lounge offering refreshments and a kids’ area, self-service coin counter and a full product line.
“In the drive-up there will be self-service options 24 hours a day,” Erb said. “We will have image-enabled ATMs, which will immediately capture checks, and cash, allowing our members to use their ATM debit cards to transact business in their accounts. With offering lobby personal service and self-service options, our members will be able to transact in a way they choose and what’s most convenient to them.”
The Dawley branch also will include a community room that individuals and groups can reserve for meetings or training sessions.
The credit union is taking about 4,400 square feet of the new building, which includes an office for DFS Insurance, and has about 2,000 square feet to lease.
“We have had some excellent inquiries,” Erb said. “The lobby will be a shared space with a two-sided fireplace and cozy chairs.”
The plan is to open the credit union June 1. Voyage has four locations and more than 10,000 members. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in Minnehaha or Lincoln counties.
