PetSmart planning grand opening at Dawley Farms
PetSmart is just weeks away from opening at Dawley Farm Village.
The sign is up, construction is almost finished and workers are being hired.
A grand opening is planned for July 15.
“I think it’s going to be a gorgeous store,” general manager Lance Butler said.
“It’s a brand-new model of a store. We will have a lot of natural foods for pets, the latest in aquatic systems and a huge adoption center for our cats. We even have a whole room dedicated for cats to play in.”
The store is still accepting job applications through www.petsmart.combut Butler says he’s encouraged by the hiring activity so far.
“We’ve got a fairly good handle on associates,” he said, adding more might be hired after the store opens.
“We want it to be a big celebration July 15. We’ll have giveaways and a lot of fun things to do.”
PetSmart is located north of Burlington at Dawley Farms, which is developed and managed by Lloyd Companies.
“PetSmart is the perfect addition to everything we have to offer at Dawley Farms,” said Raquel Blount, vice president of commercial real estate at Lloyd.
“We know shoppers already appreciate how easy and convenient it is to visit Dawley, and we’re sure they will enjoy taking care of all their pets’ needs here too.”
